The following details will help to optimize your experience at the Raphael Center for Integrative Education.

 

Course sessions will begin at 8am and conclude at 5pm, although we may continue to informally discuss material and cases after this time frame for all those who care to do so. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided. Please plan on arriving 15-20 minutes prior to the course commencement time for breakfast, if desired. When you register for the course, please ensure that you indicate whether you have dietary restrictions.

1. Session 1- The Airway Paradigm: The integration of medicine, dentistry and allied
health-wellness vs disease management

a. How our orthodoxies determine how we see and evaluate disease.

b. The importance of ordered breathing day/night from the moment you are born: It’s not just about sleep.

c. The anthropologic standard for growth & development in modern man: It’s not just about genetics.

d. Structure, Function & Behavior: their respective roles in competence and compensation: It’s not just about signs and symptoms.

e. The Role of the autonomic nervous system: It’s not just about our conscious mind.

f. Spotting the airway patient in your practice: It’s not just about the teeth.

g. The Airway Algorithm for the pediatric and adult patient.

h. Team communication in a HIPPA environment: The EMR
